The Practice

The Practice was started by Reg Ellis in 1989 in Chipping Campden – a beautiful Cotswold town sited in the north of Gloucestershire but close to parts of Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire and the West Midlands.

Because of its location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and in a county with one of the greatest stocks of listed buildings and conservation areas, much of the practice’s work has involved the repair, alteration and extension of historic and listed buildings – often in extremely sensitive locations. Former clients have included English Heritage, The National Trust, and Cotswold District Council.

The practice, which is now based in the middle of Chipping Campden, has grown to include three architects, an assistant, a technician and three support staff.
